I get is "What made you think of a tool like the Uluchet?"
I started with the concept of the "folding handle hatchet" after
looking at a custom made skinner/hatchet and realizing that it would still
beat your leg into hamburger when you walked, a common malady with any
long handle or sheath next to your leg when moving about the woods.
After many hours at the drawing board, and a large number of rejected
designs, we built a model of the present form and lock system to use and
refine. To make a long story short, here's the production model
for your use and enjoyment.
